Terms of Service

Last updated: June 1, 2026

The short version: Schedio is a tool that helps you create calendar events from text. Use it lawfully, keep your Google account secure, and understand that the AI-parsed details are a starting point you should review before confirming.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Schedio browser extension, website, and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by Schedio ("we", "us", or "our"). By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using Schedio you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. The Service

Schedio converts text you highlight into Google Calendar events. Highlighted text is parsed by Gemini (Google's Generative Language API), and events are created via the Google Calendar API only after you explicitly confirm them. The Service is provided on an ongoing basis and may evolve over time as we add, change, or remove features.

4. Your account and Google access

  • You sign in with your Google account through OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and for all activity that occurs through your use of the Service.
  • You may revoke Schedio's access at any time via your Google account settings or the extension's "Switch Google Account" feature.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose, or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service except as expressly permitted by us.
  • Submit content you do not have the right to process, or use the Service to infringe the rights of others.

6. AI-generated content

Schedio uses AI to interpret highlighted text. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. The event details Schedio suggests are a draft for your review. You are responsible for verifying dates, times, and other details before confirming an event. We are not liable for missed, duplicated, or incorrect events that result from unreviewed AI output.

7. Plans, billing, and cancellation

  • Schedio offers a free tier and a paid "Pro" subscription. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis through our third-party payment processor (Merchant of Record), which handles payment details and tax. We never see or store full card numbers.
  • Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; access to Pro features continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices and features may change with reasonable notice.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its name, branding, and software, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our trademarks or branding. You retain ownership of the text you choose to process; you grant us only the limited rights necessary to provide the Service to you.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data is processed and how. Please review it to understand our practices.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties including Google (Gemini and Calendar APIs) and our payment processor. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, content, or actions.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or scheduling errors, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or USD $0 if you use the free tier).

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and uninstall the extension at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm us, other users, or third parties.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version is always available on this page, and material changes take effect when posted. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence still apply.
