Frequently Asked Questions
What is Schedio?
Schedio is a free Chrome extension that turns any highlighted text into a Google Calendar event in under 5 seconds. It uses Gemini AI to parse event details like title, date, time, and location from natural text.
How much does it cost?
Schedio is free to start. The Free plan covers everyday scheduling with a monthly event cap on your primary Google Calendar. Pro ($4/mo) unlocks unlimited events, voice → event, smart recurrence, multiple calendars, and extra providers like Outlook and iCloud. You upgrade from inside the extension (open Schedio → Upgrade to Pro) so the subscription links to your Google account. Manage or cancel anytime from the customer portal. A Team plan is on the way.
How do I use Schedio?
Highlight any text that describes an event, right-click → "Create Event with Schedio" (or press Alt+Shift+S), review the AI-parsed event details in the popup modal, then click "Create Event". Done!
What kind of text does it understand?
Most natural event descriptions: meeting times in emails, deadlines in syllabi, event details in READMEs, interview slots in messages. It extracts titles, dates, times, locations, and descriptions.
Does Schedio collect my data?
No. Schedio has no analytics and doesn't sell or store your browsing data. The only data that leaves your browser is the highlighted text you choose to parse (sent to Google's Gemini API) and the calendar event you create (sent to your calendar provider). See our Privacy Policy for details.
Do I need to set up an API key?
No. Schedio comes ready to use. There's no API key to obtain and nothing to configure. Just install it and start highlighting.
